 \nTopic: Making Mosaic Art Quilts\n*This meeting is at the Walpole Library
 *\n\nHeidi Proffetty is an award-winning quilter and professional teacher 
 known for her unique style of mosaic art quilts. Working from photographs 
 she has taken\, all of her quilts are created by cutting\, arranging\, and
  sewing together small pieces of colored fabric to create images. Some of 
 her designs are quite realistic\; others\, decidedly abstract.  Her desig
 ns for Moroccan tile quilt blocks are inspired by ancient tile artwork.\n\
 nIn this lecture\,  Heidi discusses both traditional and innovative meth
 ods for drawing and tracing designs\,  fabric cutting techniques\, and gi
 ves tips for professionally finishing a mosaic quilt.\n\nThis lecture will
  give you just enough insight into her creative and inspirational mosaic q
 uilt-making process to make you want to learn more!\n\nHeidi received a fi
 rst place award for her newest geometric style of mosaic quilts\, Azul Med
 allions (block detail below in first position)\, at the 2022 AQS Show in 
 Paducah\, KY.  She has also been the recipient of several awards for her 
 pictorial style of mosaic quilts.\n\nHer quilts have been featured in trav
 eling exhibits and local galleries. She has made guest appearances on The 
 Quilt Show and Quilting Arts TV and is a regular contributor to the Janome
  Sewing Machine’s Maker/Artisan program where she frequently provides fr
 ee projects and content related to quilting and sewing.\n\n[gallery link="
