DESCRIPTION:\n\nWool has become a favorite textile for Rita Partridge\, a f
 ormer member of RNQG.  In recent years she has employed a multitude of em
 broidery stitches to enhance wool quilts.  Her lecture this evening inclu
 des examples of how she uses wool in her quilts\, holiday decorations\, us
 eful projects and the ways she chooses to embellish them.\n\nLong recogniz
 ed for her beautiful handwork\, Rita's sewing and crafting passion began a
 t an early age\, "assisting" her grandmother with rug hooking by handing h
 er the requested strips of wool.  This led to many different endeavors in
  needle arts: knitting\, crocheting\, needlepoint\, embroidery and sewing.
 \n\nHer love for quilting bloomed while in college.   Over the years\, he
 r quilting projects have  encompassed a wide variety of techniques: scrap
 py\, pieced\, appliquéd and embroidered.  She has won many blue ribbons
