Quilt Entry Rules

Eligibility

Every member of RNQG is guaranteed display of one (1) “Quilt Show Challenge” quilt, any number of “Look What I Made with RNQG” quilts and three (3) additional quilts in the biennial quilt show. There is no limit on the number of quilts a member may register, but those beyond the guaranteed number will only be displayed at the show if there is adequate space at the venue.

Rules and Regulations:

  • Each quilt submitted to the show must have a 4″ hanging sleeve attached to the quilt unless it is a wearable or home dec item.
  • There must be a label sewn onto the quilt back which contains the name of the quilt and its maker.
  • No unfinished quilts or tied quilts are accepted for display in the show.
  • Members will be loaned bags owned by the guild at the time quilts are brought to the show venue. Ultimately, every quilt will be labeled and individually packaged Instructions for the process will be sent to members with the assigned quilt number.  If you have registered more than one quilt, please make certain that the correct assigned number is attached to each quilt!
  • All quilt entry forms must be submitted by the deadline specified.  THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • Every member is expected to assist with preparation for OR at the show because our quilt show is the primary fundraiser for the guild and proceeds from it help defray program costs for the next two years.
  • Anyone who exhibits a quilt is required to volunteer a minimum of two (2) hours per quilt at OR before the show. If an individual enters more than three (3) quilts, the maximum required volunteer hours is six (6).
  • On the day of their volunteer shift at the show, members will not be charged for admission.  A member must pay for admission on any show day on which they do not volunteer.
