FYI: Absolutely NO fabric will be CUT in the Boutique!

TIPS FOR PACKAGING FABRICS ATTRACTIVELY
  • Put together a ‘themed’ selection of fabric, FOR EXAMPLE …
    • Color Theme: e.g., Blacks, Whites, & Reds, many shades of one color
    • Subject Theme:  e.g., Sea animals, florals, a specific holiday, sports
    • A quilt ‘kit’ including pattern and fabric
    • Coordinating fat quarters
    • Fabrics for an “I SPY” quilt
  • Without regard to size, whether a combo of strips….group of fat quarters…..layer cake or charm pack — bundle them together with ribbon or string
  • Clearly mark yardage (or sizes of pieces) on back side of the sales tag as described on the Quilt Show Boutique Q & A page
  • Attach sales tag to fabric BY THE STRING, either
    • by looping the fabric string around the ribbon used to bundle the fabric OR
    • safety-pinning it directly to the fabric

FABRIC SCRAP RULES
  • Minimum scrap size is 21/2” X 21/2
  • Scraps must be packaged in Quart Ziploc, Gallon Ziploc or Two Gallon Ziploc bags.
  • To ensure a bag stays closed please don’t overstuff! Each should be approximately 80% of full capacity.
  • Tape the STRING of the sales tag to the outside of the bag; don’t put tape on the paper tag — both sides need to be visible!
