When and where is the 2027 RNQG Quilt Show?
April 10 – 11, 2027
Walpole Middle School
625 Washington Street
East Walpole, MA
What makes the RNQG Quilt Show special (besides beautiful quilts made by our talented members)?
- vendor booths, offering a wide variety of quilting and crafting products
- “Boutique” table where guild members display and sell crafted items, quilting supplies, books, fabric, etc.
- themed raffle basket extravaganza
- “Meet the Quilter” feature — meet and view the the works of current RNQG members who also helped establish the guild
- on-site quilt appraisals by Diana Reinhardt Annis, an AQS Certified Appraiser of Quilts and Quilted Textiles. For more information, email institchesquilts@aol.com.
How many quilts can I enter in the show?
Every member of RNQG is guaranteed display of one (1) “Quilt Show Challenge” quilt, any number of “Look What I Made with RNQG” quilts and three (3) additional quilts in the biennial quilt show. There is no limit on the number of quilts a member may register, but those beyond the guaranteed number will only be displayed at the show if there is adequate space at the venue.
You may not register a quilt that has appeared in a previous RNQG quilt show.
When should I register my quilts?
As soon as possible, but no later than January 20, 2027! A quilt can be registered before it is completed if you have confidence that it will be ready for the show. You must be able to estimate the completed quilt size and submit a photo of the quilt in progress. If you are unsure of the exact finished size, it is better to estimate slightly larger than expected so the quilt display chair will not need to change quilt placement plans during show setup.
How do I register my quilts?
First, read the “Quilt Entry Rules” to make certain you understand all the requirements. Then click on the e-form menu item! There is help information available through the form for most of the fields — just hover the cursor over the adjacent blue rectangle with a question mark to display the help information for the field. If this doesn’t answer your question, contact QSregistrar through the website contact form.
Help! What if I can’t get the e-form to work?
- Ask a friend for help.
- Contact QSregistrar through the website contact form.
- Ask for assistance at an upcoming guild meeting.
Help! What do I do if my photo is too large to attach to the e-form?
Re-sizing photos is not difficult using this online image resizer: simpleimageresizer.coms/resize-image-to-350-kb. Steps are given below.
- Either click the “Select Images” button to choose the pictures from your phone or computer or “drag-and-drop” your pictures into the grey rectangle on the screen. This causes your photo to be uploaded to the website.
- click the green “Resize Image” button
- The change in size is shown next to your photo thumbnail. Don’t panic if your photo is turned sideways!
- Click the blue “Download” button to save it on your device.
On a desktop computer, you will be given an option on where you want to store the resized photo. On most mobile devices the resized photos go into a “Files” folder.
Every device has a built-in tool to rotate photos that have been turned sideways. Please make sure that the photo you upload into the e-form is in the correct direction.
If you are still experiencing problems, don’t hesitate to reach out to QSRegistrar through the website contact form.
Help! What if I realize a quilt I registered won’t be finished before the show?
If you decide a quilt you have registered can not be completed before the show, please contact QSregistrar ASAP through the website contact form!
What must I do to sell items at the Boutique table?
Full details for DONATING and CONSIGNING items are found on the “Boutique” page.
What else can I do to help?
- Help the guild to advertise the show! Visit the Quilt Show Publicity page for details.
- Sell tickets for our raffle quilt! Friends, relatives and co-workers are all potential buyers. You can also suggest a venue where tickets can be sold, such as retreats, bazaars, and church fairs. If you would like additional ticket books to sell please contact QSraffletix using the website contact form.
- Register to mentor a new member! RNQG usually attracts new members from people who attend the quilt show. The “Big Sister Mentor” initiative connects new members with existing members. As a Big Sister, you are asked to call your Little Sibling during the week following the show to welcome them and invite them to the April meeting. At the first meeting attended by your new “sibling”, you are expected to seek them out, sit with them, and introduce them to the guild. To participate, sign up at the guild meeting or get in touch with our membership chair through the website contact form.
- Sign up to work shifts at the show, whether or not you enter quilts! Remember that show proceeds help to fund our programs for the next two years so EVERYONE benefits from its success. To volunteer, respond to volunteer request emails from the volunteer coordinator, sign up during the monthly guild meetings, or contact the volunteer coordinator through QSvolunteer in the website contact form. You ultimately get to choose your volunteer task, date and time slot!
- Create, contribute items to, or fund a raffle basket! The raffle basket chair(s) have a number of basket themes in mind which may be listed in recent RNQG newsletters. If you would like to create, or contribute items to a basket, contact QSbaskets through the website contact form. If you would prefer to let someone else make the purchases to fill a basket, you can add cash to the raffle basket money jar at any of the in-person monthly guild meetings prior to the show date (Oct 2026 through March 2027).
My question isn’t answered here…where do I go for help?
