Have you always wanted to make a Sue Spargo wool ‘treasure’ and learn some of those wonderful stitches? Here is your chance!
This class features a small project that allows you to dip your toes in the world of Sue Spargo. You will learn about
- how to prepare your wool pieces
- add cotton to give another level of texture
- appropriate choices for needles and thread for embroidery, and
- new embroidery stitches to use on your project.
Finishing methods will also be discussed.
The result is a beautiful velvet-backed pincushion of wool flowers and leaves. It is a GREAT introduction into wool appliqué and embroidery the “Sue Spargo way”.
Sue’s ‘Creative Stitching‘ book is included in Bundle Option 2. It contains concise written instructions and clear illustrations for 50 of Sue’s favorite embroidery stitches. Color close-up photographic examples of each of the stitches are given. The first chapter includes a detailed description of the needles and threads Sue prefers. Never-before-seen color photographs of the author’s work appear throughout the volume.
